What’s in a name?

Shakespeare, via Juliet, once reminded us that a rose by any other name would smell as sweet - and I'm going to take that at its word. Because the Henley Female Network is having a name change and becoming the Henley Female Collective. Don’t worry though, it’s a change in name only… absolutely none of the heart, joy and connection is going anywhere. We are still doing exactly the same thing.  Still bringing together women who care about the world and the people in it for fabulous conversations, bucketloads of inspiration and lots of meaningful connection.

For me, the word collective simply describes us better. Network has always carried a slightly cold and austere feeling that never quite reflected the warmth, joy and friendship I experience in the room every month at Leander. Collective feels more caring, more heartfelt and more, well… us.

So, there you go… we are now the Henley Female Collective or HFC (rather fittingly, perhaps, my initials before I married!)… Over the next few months we are going to start offering more to our collective. More opportunities to get together, to go deeper, to connect in ways that matter. But our breakfast conversations will continue unchanged, open to all women and as joyful as ever.
